Landscape Architecture

Landscape Architecture is the profession which incorporates the planning, design, stewardship, and construction of built and natural environments. I work to improve human and environmental health for all. My design approach is built on three pillars. Community. Environment. Culture. This approach allows for the designing of spaces which include elements of arts, the environment, architecture, engineering, social understanding, and ethics.

Project design commences with the users. Site understanding is vital at the project outset to create a functional design program to achieve the goals of my clients.

Through a cooperative planning and design process, we can utilize the natural and built environment to achieve successful design solutions for every project while ensuring cohesiveness with other disciplines and project elements.

CPTED

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. The underlying theory of integrating CPTED principles into the design process is the belief that through proper design and appropriate use of the built environment a reduction in the incidence of fear and crime, and an ultimate improvement of the users quality of life will result. Where applicable, the design principles of Natural Surveillance, Natural Access Control, and Territorial Reinforcement will be implemented.
